Danielle began her career as a speech pathologist, specializing in treating individuals with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing, and breathing disorders. A few years in, she stumbled upon a TED talk, A Prosthetic Arm that “Feels” by Todd Kuiken, that would change her life.

While she watched Todd Kuiken showcase groundbreaking technologies, she realized the profound impact technology could have on the lives of her patients. Danielle began to explore careers that would allow her to contribute to the development of assistive technologies. She acquired the skills to transition roles, meticulously studied job descriptions, scoured career websites of health tech companies, and found an alignment between her healthcare background and the skills sought after in product design roles.
